Welcome

Welcome to my website. I am a political scientist, currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Political Science at the University of Jena.

My research interest lies in the field of democracy research. My PhD thesis focused on processes of intra-party democratization, but since 2018, I have built expertise in researching political support and attitudes towards democracy. In my current research, I examine challenges to representative democracy, such as populism, science denial, and conspiracy theories. Specifically, my research delves into the relationship between populist radical right ideology and science denial. I also study the impact of conspiracy beliefs on individuals’ understanding of democracy. I employ both quantitative and qualitative approaches in my research.
